What is the Rangers Supporters Trust?

The Rangers Supporters Trust is a supporter shareholder group that launched at Partick Burgh Halls on Saturday 5th April 2003. The group is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation that seeks to give every true Rangers fan a greater say in how their club is run. You do not have to be an existing Rangers shareholder to join the new supporter shareholder group.

The aim of the Rangers Supporters Trust

The Rangers Supporters Trust has one simple aim: to encourage and facilitate supporters of Rangers FC to buy and hold shares in the club in order to influence future decisions. The future of Rangers must be in the hands of people who care about the Club rather than just seeing it as a financial investment. The long term aim of The Rangers Supporters Trust is to deliver ownership of the club to its loyal supporters.

How the Rangers Supporters Trust works

Each member will be asked to pay a nominal annual membership fee:

- British Isles: £10
- Rest of Europe: £12
- Outside Europe: £15
- Junior: £5 (no shares or voting rights)

For this each member will receive one free share in Rangers Football Club Plc.

There is no requirement to buy additional shares although obviously we would encourage members to do so as it is the aim of the organisation to increase the number of shares held by supporters.

To facilitate this, the Trust will administer a monthly "share save scheme" which will allow individual trust members to purchase additional shares in their own right, but at lower than normal dealing costs. In return, the Trust expects members to give it proxy voting rights at each annual general meeting, although Trust members are free to revoke this at any time.

We are hoping that fans who become members of the Trust will mandate their voting rights to the Trust to give greater supporter influence in the running of Rangers Football Club. Existing shareholders may mandate their voting rights by downloading and returning a completed Proxy Mandate Form from the DOWNLOADS PAGE .

We would like to emphasise that the ownership of the shares remains with the shareholder. The shareholder can revoke proxy if they wish, but we believe it is in their interests to allow the Trust to vote.
