Rangers AGM Proxy Card Instructions

The RST would ask all existing members to follow the following procedures in dealing with the Proxy Card issued with the Rangers FC annual accounts.

Step 1
Detach the Proxy Card from Admission Card. The Admission Card should be retained to allow you to enter the Rangers FC AGM.

Step 2
Complete the Proxy Card by inserting "Rangers Supporters Society Ltd" in top box (left hand side) and then sign the second box (bottom left hand side) and date.

Step 3
Post form to Joanne Percival, Rangers Supporters Trust, c/o Direct Sharedeal, 3rd Floor, Sterling House, 20 Renfield Street, Glasgow, G2 5AP. Please return your Proxy Mandate Form to us by September 15th, 2006. Thank you.

Step 4
The RST shall complete all the answers to all questions in line with the RST policy on each topic.

NOTE:- even if you are not a member of the RST, you can also support the RST by giving us your proxy vote. Simply complete steps 1 - 4 above and send with a small letter stating you are not a member of the RST but wish to proxy your vote.

Rangers AGM Questions

As always there are a number of questions that must be asked/raised at the Club AGM. Thus, we are keen that we all have the best possible opportunity to participate, utilising the wide range of talent among our growing membership.

The general thrust of questions include:

(i) Supporters Representation on the Rangers Board;

(ii) Rangers published accounts;

(iii) Rangers Public Relations;

(iv) Rangers relationship with the media.

Please accept this announcement as an invitation to furnish your own specific question within the general thrust.

If you are either intent on attending, or feel you could ask a question on behalf of the RST, please reply soonest to david@rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk . May we request you reply no later than 12th September 2006.

Trust Announce New AGM Date

Can all our members please note this year's AGM will now take place on Sunday 01 October in the Wee Rangers Club from 10.30am (for a 11am start) till 12.30pm (Rangers play Aberdeen at Ibrox that day KO: 3pm).

All Members will be sent a formal notification containing an Agenda, and a set of independently audited Trust Accounts, by post at least 14 days in advance, and the meeting will only be open to Members who have paid their subscriptions for 2006/07, upon production of their membership cards.

However you can both renew and join on the day. We do ask though, that if you are taking this option that you arrive early to allow us to process your renewal/application.

If any current member has any questions or motions they'd like to raise in advance of the meeting please contact us through the site.

RST Members can also join the superbly revamped club via the membership forms handed out on the day. With an exciting season ahead, where better to enjoy a refreshing pre-match drink, tasty food, or great post match celebrations, than the Wee club.

Trust to Sponsor Molde Return Match - Win Hospitality Tickets!

The Trust are delighted to announce that as part of our planned launch of 'GerSave' over the next few weeks we will be providing matchday sponsorship of next Thursday's UEFA Cup 2nd leg match between Rangers and Molde.

As well as our upcoming high-profile advertising campaign we intend to distribute 51,000 'GerSave' brochures at next week's match. This is where YOU come in as we need help to supply every seat in the stadium with a brochure.

If you turn up and help on the set-up days (times to be confirmed) you will automatically be entered into a special raffle. This will give 2 people the chance to win individual hospitality packages for the game. The match is sure to be a sell-out so this is your opportunity not only to get a ticket but to enjoy our first home European match of the season in 5* comfort.

The RST Needs You! Help Needed at Ibrox on Wednesday! Win Hospitality Tickets!

As revealed last week, the Rangers Supporters Trust will be sponsoring the UEFA Cup return leg against Molde FC at Ibrox on Thursday 28th September.

Part of the sponsorship has meant that we will be attaching a 'Gersave' booklet to every seat in Ibrox for the game, and as such will be looking for as much assistance as possible to help make this happen.

We will be looking for people to come into Ibrox at 10am tomorrow (Wednesday 27/09/06) and help ensure each seat in the stadium will have a booklet.

This will be a pivotal moment in launching Gersave awareness and thus the Trusts' existence. Therefore we are looking for everyone to help out wherever possible. Even if you are only able to help out for a couple of hours, every little bit helps and would be greatly appreciated.

Brochure Distribution Postponed

Sadly the placing of Trust brochures on the seats at Ibrox has had to be postponed as the club’s lawyers consider whether or not distribution inside Ibrox could be construed as the club promoting, as opposed to facilitating, sales of it’s own shares.

The club’s lawyers have raised concerns over whether the leaflet could be deemed to be a public offer of securities by the club. Clearly, since the inception of the scheme the Trust has taken careful legal advice in order to address such issues, at considerable cost, and is confident that things will be sorted out.

However, as the Trust was only informed today of these legal concerns, the placing of brochures inside Ibrox has had to be postponed for the time being.

'GerSave' To Be Advertised During Real Radio Phone-In

As part of our launch of 'GerSave', the scheme will now be advertised during the popular Real Radio phone-in; starting this Friday evening for one week.

The show has listening figures of ~300,000 people over central Scotland (and online) so will be ideal in attracting new Trust members and 'Gersave' subscribers. Real Radio (Scotland's most listened to radio station) have been a great help in setting up a text service for interested listeners to use.
