Briefing Session for Trust Members on Sunday 3rd October

At our second AGM this July, the Trust undertook "that once the Trust has finalised negotiations with David Murray, details would be made available to all members" and accordingly, we are holding a briefing session late morning of the Rangers v Kilmarnock game on SUNDAY 3 OCTOBER.

The venue will be the Rangers Supporters Association HQ in Edmiston Drive, known locally as "the wee Rangers Club" dating back to when the Club used to own the big premises behind the Copland Stand as its own Social Club.

The meeting will start at 11am, and following a brief presentation by the Trust Chairman and Trust Secretary, there will be ample opportunity for Members to ask questions, which will also perhaps focus minds on the Rangers FC plc AGM due only 4 days later.

Whilst our business must be concluded by 12:15pm, as the Club opens for business at 12:30pm, members are welcome to remain behind after the meeting and enjoy the Club’s facilities if they wish to do so pre-match. Often some lively musical entertainment is provided there before Rangers matches.

More details will be announced over the next few days, but meantime, please note that only Members with current memberships will be admitted, although the few dozen members who have yet to renew for 2004/05 may do so on the day. Our Trust Membership Secretary will be on hand also to handle any membership queries.

Klos Accepts Walter Tull Memorial Cup

Club Captain Stefan Klos was delighted to accept the Walter Tull Memorial Cup from Spurs captain Stephen Carr after Rangers won the recent friendly match at Ibrox 2-0.

Earlier in the day there was a match between Rangers and Spurs Supporters Trusts with both teams playing for the Walter Tull Trophy. Rangers Supporters Trust won this match 6-2.

Both these trophies were donated by the Trust in memory of Rangers first-ever black player, Walter Daniel Tull, who also played for Spurs before becoming fatally injured at the Battle of the Somme. These donations were made as part of the Trust's own anti-racism campaign.
