Rangers 6 Spurs 2

The RST FC team won this very sporting contest by 6 goals to 2. Although the Spurs team are more established, the Rangers team played exceptionally well considering it was just their third game. Thanks go to everyone who made the game a success, especially the Spurs team for travelling up for it. We hope everyone associated with the Spurs team enjoyed the hospitality. The RST FC team look forward to a return match in London, hopefully next summer.

Rangers playing Spurs TWICE this Wednesday

As part of the Trust's campaign against racism in football, the Trust has donated the Walter Tull Memorial Cup (named after Rangers' first-ever black signing, who also played for Spurs) to Rangers Football Club, and the winning captain of Wednesday's friendly will be presented with this trophy by the losing captain in a private ceremony after Wednesday's game.

In addition to this, our own Trust football team takes on the Spurs Trust football team at Firhill Community Complex at 3pm on Wednesday afternoon. Whilst we had tried to arrange this match for the Ibrox community complex, the Club had one third of the pitch reserved for another project, so it was unavailable. The Spurs Trust football team has been going a lot longer than ours, and so we extend the hand of friendship to them, and welcome them to Glasgow, and hope that our own team can put in a sufficiently respectable performance to merit repeating this fixture in London next year. The winner of the match between the two Trust teams will be presented with the Walter Tull Trophy, which is a smaller version of the Walter Tull Memorial Cup being contested later in the day.

Rangers to trial "early bird discount" at Superstore.

We are delighted to see the Club continuing to improve its relationship with the fans by adopting a suggestion made by the Fans (Retail) Forum, in which three Trust Board Members participated.

In order to ease congestion on matchdays, members will be pleased to hear that the Club is to be trialling this idea on Wednesday 28th July when Rangers take on Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly. Supporters visiting the store between 5.00pm and 6.30pm on the evening of that game will receive a 10% discount off all merchandise purchased (excluding pre-orders of the new 3rd Kit).

Rangers Trust -v- Spurs Trust : Match Information

After much difficulty in arranging a venue, we can now confirm the when and where of the upcoming football match between the Rangers Supporters Trust and the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust.

Despite having been told when we originally enquired that Ibrox Community Complex was available, we were later informed that one-third of the pitch we needed had actually been booked (by Rangers FC). After a few weeks of trying to negotiate our case we have had to finally give it up as a bad job, and we now have a confirmed booking for an alternative venue. Therefore the Walter Tull Trophy Challenge between Rangers Supporters Trust FC and Tottenham Hotspur STFC will now take place at Firhill Community Complex, Hopehill Road, Maryhill, on Wednesday 28th July and will Kick Off at 3pm, the same date as the Rangers v Spurs friendly at Ibrox (KO 7:45pm).

Directions from St Georges X Subway: Exit the subway up the steeper stairs in front of you and cross the very short street to your right into Maryhill Road. Turn left on Maryhill Road and head North for around 500 metres. When you reach the Woodside Inn on your left (corner of North Woodside Road), turn right into Hopehill Street and continue past the Jaguar showroom car park. Firhill Community Complex is on your left hand side. This walk should take no more than 10 minutes.

Fans Survey results to be announced at Trust AGM

This survey was open to both members and non-members of the Trust, and is the most comprehensive survey ever conducted on the views of Rangers fans on all aspects of following the Club from the matchday experience itself through to the way the Club conducts its relationships with customers, both internal and external.

By way of a preview, here are the results of just the eight questions posed to respondents on only the performance of the Trust. All figures expressed in the linked pdf file are percentages, and have been rounded up or down to the nearest whole percent.
