Trust Receive Invite To Assembly

The Rangers Supporters Trust has received an invitation to the inaugural meeting of the new Rangers Supporters Assembly on the 29th August. After discussions, we have decided to accept the invitation. Mark Dingwall has been nominated to attend the initial meeting to find out more, and ascertain if this body complies with our rules and constitution. Whatever the outcome, this does not alter our policy of seeking a fan’s representative on the Rangers Board and we will be actively pursuing this aim.

Trust declines to help STV with next edition of Scotsport

In view of the tone and content of the first edition of Scotsport SPL on Monday past, the Trust today declined an invitation from STV to nominate more members for the edition this coming Monday. No disrespect is intended to the two Trust members who did participate on Monday, and both of whom spoke very well, but we feel that this programme needs substantial improvement before we would wish to be associated with it. Significantly, we noted that supporters of virtually every club seemed unanimous in their view.

Not renewed yet? Please read below

Although most of our members have already renewed, we would ask the few who haven't yet done so, to re-join as soon as possible. This can be done either online - go to the "Join the Trust" tab, and select the renewal radio button, quoting your membership #, name and any details which have changed - or by downloading the form from the website. Exciting times lie ahead for the Rangers Supporters Trust, so make sure you are entitled to your say. Our cause is reaching a pivotal point in our history, and it is now more important than ever (for the sake of our great Club) that the Trust grows from strength to strength.

Trust members to appear on Monday night's Scotsport

. . . and you could be one of them. We have been invited to supply 6 Trust members to attend the premier edition of STV's new weekly SPL review, and so we propose to have 3 Board Members attend alongside 3 ordinary members. This show, which gives terrestrial TV viewers the opportunity to view recorded highlights of the preceding weekend's games, starts recording at 7pm in Glasgow on Monday 9 August, and producers have asked us not to wear football tops for the recording. We would therefore like to invite applications from Trust members (on this occasion, only from those who will be attending Saturday's game at Pittodrie) to participate, and anyone interested should e-mail:

colin@rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk

by Friday at 12 noon, after which the Trust Board will draw the three lucky winners.
